Rod Stewart Returns To His Own Music For New Album
. Due out May 7, the 68-year-old singer's new album, Time, will be his first album of new material since 2001's Human. And for the first time in nearly 20 years, the singer had a hand in writing the majority of the songs on the record. "An issue which I thought had long passed and which I'd given up, songwriting, has come back, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it," Stewart told Billboard. The music, according to Billboard, sounds more like some of his biggest hits, including a new song that takes the Celtic-influence of "Maggie May" and another that has the dance beats of "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy."
