Update: Lil Wayne Camp Deny Coma Reports Say Rapper Is Recovering
. Mack Maine, the president of Lil Wayne's Young Money label, posted this message on Twitter on Friday evening, "Dont believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe ... that's false!!" And this message was posted on Lil Wayne's Twitter account "I'm good everybody. Thnx for the prayers and love." However TMZ is still sticking to their sources. On Friday at 6:30 PM PST they update their story with the following, "Sources at the hospital tell us Wayne is still in critical condition in the ICU ... but stabilizing. We're told the prognosis is uncertain. Wayne is sleeping right now ... which is odd, because he just tweeted saying he's OK and thanking people for the prayers and love." Apparently their sources now have him sleeping and not in an induced coma. Here is the original report, based on TMZ's earlier report: Rapper Lil Wayne was rushed to the hospital again after suffering another seizure and is in the ICU in critical condition in an induced coma, according to TMZ. The rapper was hospitalized earlier this week for apparent seizures following a video shoot and was released but he was later found unconscious on the floor of his room by a bodyguard. He was rushed to the hospital and admitted to the ICU where he was restrained because he was shaking uncontrollably reports TMZ. Their sources told them that he was "unstable" and placed in an induced coma and is breathing through tubes. His mother is flying into Los Angeles to make the major decisions about his care, including the decision to continue or discontinue life support, according to the report. TMZ also reports that sources told them doctors found high amounts of codeine in his system. Read their report for more details and any updates here.
