Body of Yes Cofounder Peter Banks Released Following Fan Action
. Banks died suddenly on March 7, aged 65, and left no immediate next of kin. The only person able to sign for his remains, his ex-wife, was at first unwilling to become involved meaning the body could not be released. His manager George Mizer launched a PayPal fund to raise the money necessary for someone to travel to England and complete the necessary procedures. If it could not be done, Banks' property may have been auctioned by the authorities to cover the cost of a funeral and the winding-up of his estate. Now Mizer reports the papers have been signed by the musician's ex, and he expects the body to be released this week. He tells Something Else: "I believe the problem with Ceci, Pete's ex-wife, was that she was in shock and disbelief. "The fans have been great with donating a few bucks to help with the arrangements." more on this story Classic Rock Magazine is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
