Van Halen Box Set Canceled

Warner Bros have pulled the plug on U.S. release of the Van Halen box set "The Studio Albums 1978-1984," according to the band's official store.

The box set was originally announced for release on March 26th in North America; however it appears that the label has canceled the release all together.

The Van Halen store has since removed the listing for the box set from their site but BraveWords reports that the store had this notice for fans: "On February 6th, we began taking pre-orders for the Van Halen Box Set, which was to be released on March 26th (per the record company, Warner Bros/Rhino).

"However, on Feb 10th, the record company informed us that the March 26 release date has been canceled. At that time, they did not know if the release date was simply being pushed back, or if the release was to be canceled altogether. Today we received the final word from Warner Bros; the Box Set has indeed been permanently cancelled and will never be released in the United States." You can read the box set details here.
