Mike Peters Trying To Stay True To Stuart Adamson in Big Country (A Top Story)

.
On Wednesday Mike Peters Trying To Stay True To Stuart Adamson in Big Country was a top story. Here is the recap: (Classic Rock) Big Country frontman Mike Peters was faced with the challenge of creating lyrics that matched the spirit of late founder Stuart Adamson when it came to writing for upcoming album The Journey.

But the Alarm man says it's been a positive process, and they're proud of the results.

Peters a close friend of Adams, who died in 2001 joined Big Country in 2011 after an invitation from guitarist Bruce Watson. Last year saw the departure of bassist Tony Butler, who's been replaced by Derek Forbes of Simple Minds.

All those changes are reflected in the new album, says Peters. "There are themes of redemption and coming to terms with a life lived all though this record. The process has brought us together as a family, united and ready to stand proud for what and who we are." - more on this story
