Journey and Whitesnake will be kicking off their coheadlining UK tour tonight May 16th in Belfast, Northern Ireland and the trek will feature support from Thunder.

The tour is set to span nine dates and will include shows in Glasgow, Sheffield, Newcastle, Manchester, Nottingham, Cardiff, Birmingham, and the tour closer at the famed Wembley Arena.

The trek will mark the first time that the two heavy weights of 80s rock will share the same stage in the UK. Journey guitarist Neal Schon shares his excitement about the tour: "We're looking forward to getting back to the UK and playing our best for you all. You guys are the very best, cheers and see you soon. We will be rocking!"

Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale had this to say, "We all wanted the last tour to continue as we got closer to the end. After a year in the studio we're ready to rock on stage again. We're coming back for more."

Thunder singer Danny Bowes adds: "We'd already discussed possibly doing some shows during 2013, so this is perfect, and it's a great bill, like they used to be back in the day, it'll be a brilliant night out".
