(Radio.com) Fans of Mad Men were treated to the debut of an animated and eye-catching new 90-second commercial for Oreo cookies that featured "Wonderfilled Anthem," a new song from Adam Young, better known as Owl City.

"They came to me with the idea of sharing wonder with the world, or making days brighter," Young told MTV News regarding the spot. "And those themes are similar to what I'm drawn to, musically and lyrically."

The song is part of Oreo's current "Wonderfilled" campaign, which was crafted by the Martin Agency in conjunction with the 101st anniversary of the popular cream-filled chocolate cookies. The launch is being closely watched by advertising pundits, as it follows an extensive and successful 100th birthday campaign last year.

This year's campaign has managed to make waves with Oreo's much-discussed "You can still dunk in the dark" tweet that was sent out during the blackout at this year's Super Bowl in New Orleans.

While many were charmed by the playful 90-second spot, a vocal contingent of naysayers took to the internet to denounce the commercial as cloying and trite, with a series of mean-spirited messages being sent out on Twitter. more on this story
