Singled Out: Keyless
. I remember thinking "I think the album is complete, or is it?" I was hanging out at the studio one night with Dj Unlock and we were talking about the album and how thrilled we were that it had come together so well. We had a blast making each and every song. So, we were sitting around telling jokes, laughing and basically just having a good time, as usual and then we discussed adding one last song to the album. Then, out came the iPhones and we started bouncing song ideas back and forth, by listening to each others voice memos, which is an awesome feature, It's great to go back and listen to old memos and be like "oh man, I forgot about that song idea!" I told DJ Unlock I wanted the next song a little more on the mellow side but still relatable. So, we worked up a few beats and all of the sudden DJ Unlock goes "Dude, I just remembered an idea". He played me I think it was the hook, on an acoustic, and I immediately was like "YES!!" After that, we focused on that song and worked up some beats and tweaked some lyrics and by the end of that night we had the song "Everything" finished up. I let some close friends listen to it and received great feedback from them and decided that "Everything" would be my debut single. "Everything" means so much to me because so many people can relate to it, in some form or fashion and I love that about a song. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and check out the video here and learn more about the album and the band right here!
