The cringe-worthy moment happened while the singer was crooning "Adorn" during the May 20 telecast. He attempted to leap from the main stage to a smaller platform a few feet away, but he didn't quite stick the landing. Instead, he landed on fan Khyati Shah, who reportedly is now considering taking legal action against the singer.

Shah's attorney, Vip Bhola, told E! that while she seemed fine immediately following the incident, her injuries have worsened over time. After Miguel's performance, Shah was ushered backstage for an interview with Billboard where she was seen smiling while holding an ice pack to her elbow. When asked what she thought of the crooner, she seemed in high spirits, joking that she "adorn(s) him."
