. But first, the video visionary is set to direct the first-ever YouTube Music Awards this weekend (Nov. 3), boasting live performances from the likes of Eminem and Tyler the Creator. Jonze will be paying special attention to performers Lady Gaga and Arcade Fire, working with both acts to create live music videos during the ceremony. "It'll be really interesting to try and pull it off," Jonze told NME. "We have a whole handful of directors, we're mixing the music video film world in with the live broadcast world and trying to make live music videos. "I'm doing an Arcade Fire for a song called 'Afterlife'. I'm loving the album and that song," he added, referencing Arcade Fire's recently released Reflektor full-length. "Chris Milk and I are helping Lady Gaga. I was involved in choosing the artists. The whole thing has been spontaneous. It's pretty fun.
