Eminem Performs New Songs On SNL
. Introduced by host Kerry Washington, Eminem blazed through two songs from his upcoming LP, the collegiate party anthem "Berzerk" and the stadium-level "Survival." Oh, and Eminem's hair is blonde again. On "Berzerk", MMLP2 producer and beard champion Rick Rubin put on a vinyl copy of Bill Squier's "The Stroke" on a turntable and soon after, Em emerged in winter parka and spit his bars over a too-loud backing track and a not loud enough backing band. The party-down energy was just right, though. Replay the song below. The sound engineering at SNL, notorious for being unforgiving to musical guests, fixed the levels for Em's encore appearance where he performed "Survival" with Skylar Grey. The track got the Jock Jams treatment with the band locking into a rock groove behind Gray's hook and Em's aggro verses. Watch the SNL performances here.
