Raekwon Remixes Lorde's 'Royals'

(Radio.com) Lorde's chart-topping single "Royals," off her recently released debut Pure Heroine, has already spawned a handful of remixes, predominantly from the rap department. Nonetheless, this has not deterred Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon from joining the "Royals" remix trend in hopes to bring something new to the musical table.

Raekwon leaves the track untouched for the most part, aside from adding a few of his own verses that sort of counteract Lorde's original critiques of excessively indulgent musicians. (Listen below.)

Raekwon's verses are loaded with luxuries the artist prefers: "Gangsters in watches, triplex log cabin villas killa, next level Lexuses" smack dab in between Lorde's critique of materialism.

Is this intended as playful jest or antagonistic retaliation? That's for the listeners to decide. Raekwon is currently working on his upcoming solo album F.I.L.A (Fly International Luxurious Art), due out next year. Listen to the remix.
