Blues America is narrated by Fun Lovin' Criminals frontman Huey Morgan and features interviews with some of the biggest still-active movers and shakers in the genre's history.

Episode one is entitled Woke Up This Morning and contains contributions from Keith Richards, Taj Mahal and others. It's to be broadcast on November 29 at 9pm. The following week, Bright Lights Big City includes offerings by Buddy Guy, Bonnie Raitt and Seasick Steve.

Blues America is part of a wider series of blues-themed programmes, including documentaries on Big Bill Broonzy and John Fahey (aka Blind Joe Death) and a live session by Raitt. more on this story
