U2 Releasing New Album Early Next Year
. Billboard reports that the band is looking to release their new album in April with plans to announce the official date in a commercial at this year's Super Bowl, which will air February 2. Earlier this year, Bono and the guys were spotted at New York City's Electric Lady Studios with Brian Burton, aka Danger Mouse, sparking rumors that the album, which has been in the works since the band's 2009-2011 tour, would be ready for release in 2013. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin was also reportedly seen at the studio, though there is no word yet whether it was for work or for play. In a recent interview with Irish radio station, 98FM (via NME), bass player Adam Clayton hinted at what fans can expect from the upcoming record. "I think it's a bit of a return to U2 of old, but with the maturity," Clayton said. "If you like, of the U2 of the last 10 years. It's a combination of those two things and it's a really interesting hybrid." more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
