David Byrne Announces Concert for the Philippines
. On November 25, Byrne and the original cast of the album's theatrical experience, which ran from April to June 2013 at New York City's Public Theater and is based on his concept album of the same name with Fatboy Slim, will perform a one-time only special benefit concert at Terminal 5 in NYC. "The show is about the resiliency of the Philippine people��it couldn't be more timely," Byrne said in a press release. "Upon hearing about this tragedy the cast contacted me about doing a show to raise money for relief efforts. Most of our cast is Filipino, and all of us feel the same way. It's personal for all of us. We all dropped whatever we were doing."
