Record Store Day Black Friday Special Release Guide

11/29/2013
.
(Gibson) The folks behind National Record Store Day have been hard at work putting together a list of exclusive holiday releases available starting today, Black Friday only at your local, independently-owned record shop. Note: Most of these releases are limited-edition, so they may sell out quickly. Plus, not all participating stores will receive all the items, so you're best to contact your local shop before making the trek out at 5 a.m. on Black Friday.

That said, this year's collection of "Back to Black" releases is exceptional. From Nirvana to the Grateful Dead to the Peppers, the list packs variety. Check out a few items below.

Release: Bob Dylan, Side Tracks

Format: 180 gram, numbered, triple-LP package

About: Shopping for a mega-Bob Dylan fan? You may want to pick up this Side Tracks release. The set features a compilation of tracks that have never appeared on a formal Bob Dylan album. Call it the "lost album" of sorts.

About: This Doors release is homegrown. If you didn't pick up any of the In Utero reissues earlier this fall, this may be a good pick for you.
