The Kinks' Dave Davies Announces Solo Tour

(Gibson) So, the Kinks have put to rest any rumors that the band will embark on a 50th anniversary tour next year, but that doesn't mean fans won't have the chance to catch any Kinks action in the coming months. Kinks guitarist Dave Davies has announced that he'll hit the road for a short run of solo North American shows this November.

Davies' tour will kick off Nov. 12 at the City Winery in New York City and travel through six cities before wrapping up Nov. 19 at Space in Evanston, Ill.

The guitarist recently released a new solo album, I Will Be Me, so plan to hear tunes off that release on the trek. Davies' solo shows also feature the Kinks member performing Kinks tunes and other songs from his solo collection. more on this story
