Lauryn Hill Plans Post Prison Tour?

(Radio.com) Letters from prison have always been a key and moving insight into the mindset of an activist, artist or historical figure. In the case of Lauryn Hill, the latest insight into her is a letter after prison.

In a handwritten letter posted to Hill's Tumblr, which she later deleted but was reposted by Rap-Up, she thanked fans for their support. A typed, scanned letter has since replaced Hill's handwritten one on her Tumblr.

"There was not one day that I didn't receive mail while I was away," she wrote. In the post, she listed the full name and city of every fan that sent her greetings while in jail.

She went on with her message of redemption: "Walk strong, seek light and universal reproof in all things. Know that man-made concerns are not always in agreement. Obviously, strive to please God. Thank you again and again."

With her release, and a lingering bout of post-jail house arrest as ordered by a judge due to her 2012 conviction of tax evasion, the Associated Press confirms through court documents that "U.S. Magistrate Madeline Cox Arleo in Newark signed an order Oct. 1 modifying conditions of Hill's supervised release… She allowed Hill to leave home detention from Nov. 15 to Dec. 31 to tour." more on this story
