Death Cab for Cutie Working On New Album

(Radio.com) Death Cab for Cutie took to social media last Thursday (October 10) to let fans know that they are hard at work recording their eighth album. As of right now, there is no official release date for the band's follow-up to 2011′s Codes and Keys.

According to Rolling Stone, the band is holed up in a Seattle recording studio, with DCFC guitarist Chris Walla once again playing the role of producer. Along with producing records for Death Cab, he's also produced two albums for Tegan and Sara, 2007′s The Con and 2009′s Sainthood, and others.

Photos posted by the band on Instagram, with the hashtag #inthestudio, give fans a look at the setup inside the studio, from multicolored pedals to "paintbrushes," otherwise known as guitars. According to one dispatch, the band is going to be in the studio "for a bit." more on this story
