(Radio.com) Toronto rapper Drake is currently vying for the king of hip-hop crown, with his most recent full-length release, Nothing Was the Same, enjoying the second-best opening week sales numbers of 2013 (behind Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience) so far.

Now, the single from it that peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, "Hold On, We're Going Home," gets the remix treatment from none other than Miami rap kingpin, Rick Ross.

For the official "Maybach Music Group Remix" version of Drake's hit single, the tempo has been sped up, with Ross' distinctive growl popping up right from the start of the subtly reconfigured song.

While Drake prepares to launch his "Would You Like a Tour?" jaunt with openers Miguel and Future on Oct. 18 in Pittsburgh, Rick Ross recently announced that his sixth studio album, Mastermind, is due to hit retailers on December 17, in time for the holiday shopping rush.

Ross will embark on his own (albeit much shorter) eight-city tour of the States starting in Detroit on November 12, winding up in the rapper's home base of Miami on November 23. Listen to the remix here.
