. (Radio.com) Making big (cosmetic) moves yesterday (October 16th) were Katy Perry and COVERGIRL, who announced the singer will be the latest spokesperson for the make-up giant.

The brand tweeted, "Bold, bright, a beam of light. Thrilled to announce @KatyPerry is a COVERGIRL! RT to welcome #COVERGIRLKaty! http://t.co/QVRHNaTnuW"

The debut campaign image shows Perry with a prism-themed background, wearing a strong pink lip and blue nail polish from the line, that is thematically in step with the campaign for her forthcoming album, Prism.

"In addition to music, I've always considered makeup to be a powerful creative avenue of self-expression," Perry said in a press release. "I'm honored to partner with COVERGIRL and share more colors and textures of my approach to beauty to inspire my audience." more on this story
