Katy Perry Has Biggest Sales Week of Her Career With Prism
. "Prism" sold 286,344 copies in the U.S. during its first week of release, according Nielsen SoundScan which marked the biggest sales week for a female artist this year. This is Perry's second No. 1 album. Her "Teenage Dream" album debuted at the top of the chart after selling 192,000 copies its first week in stores back in 2010. Perry knocked last week's No. 1, Pearl Jam's "Lightning Bolt," down a spot to No. 2. Drake's "Nothing Was The Same" landed at No.3 followed by Miley Cyrus' "Bangerz" at No. 4. Lorde's "Pure Heroine" rounded out the top 5.
