Smokin' Joe Kubek and Bnois King Face Challenge With New Album

(The Blues) Smokin' Joe Kubek and Bnois King will release a new album entitled Road Dogs' Life next month. It's the 17th studio outing for Kubek & King, who jammed on stage together one night in 1989 and have never looked back.

But the longevity of their collaboration brings its own difficulties. Guitarist Kubek tells Enterprise News: "That hardest part of writing our own songs after 17 albums is not ripping ourselves off.

"We might have a great idea for a new song, until something sounds a little too familiar and we realise: we did that one a few years back." As the album title might suggest, the duo love live on the road and Kubek finds it's an antidote to the writing problem. Find out what that is here.
