Singled Out: The SixxiS
. The characters in the song being the powerful, dominatrix-type woman and her counterpart that is completely at her disposal are used as a metaphor pertaining to a persons deepest desires, and the ability to not be controlled by them. There are many that would identify with this song if taken for its simple meaning of being caught in a relationship where one can not let go, but the message goes much deeper than that. It's about following the correct path and knowing what you need as opposed to choosing what you think you want. Its about finding the inner power in order to overcome this temptation...especially when one knows that it is poisonous. The main message of the chorus being "On my knees I'll be if I don't believe" is the statement that says it all. Its about being able to take the first step and believing in the fact that whatever problem or temptation that is being faced, it will bring a person down to his knees unless he believes in himself and not gives into the temptation. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
