Empire of the Sun Go Alien in DNA Video
. Throughout the Emmett Malloy-directed clip for "DNA," the alien Aussie duo are seen commuting alone on a deserted bus, hijacking bikes to ride in vacant parking lots, and then entering a peculiar bodega that has cardboard cutouts of the two behind the man at the counter. Frontman Steele is clad in a silver, outter-wordly getup complete with a blue headpiece and trademark eye makeup. Meanwhile, Nick Littlemore is shown more mysteriously in the background in a retro army looking blazer complete with gold sequins. Alien royalty, perhaps? The crew winds up at a house party and Empire of the Sun are surrounded by ladies and whipped cream on a couch. This isn't exciting enough, though as there's a pool in the backyard. As Steele jumps in a woman is frantically seen calling the police. "I need help. There are aliens in my house. They have helmets on and look all empirical!" she said. As the sun rises, the duo are arrested while the party-goers look on confused. After all, it's not every night in the San Fernando Valley that aliens visit.
