The Weeknd Reveals Behind the Scenes Video
. The 2-minute clips finds the Weekend mastermind Abel Tesfaye marveling at the lighting and set design for his stage show, which will feature an elaborate multi-screen video wall projecting a bevy of images and song lyrics. "Do not do acid at my shows," Tesfaye laughs towards the end of the video after seeing one particularly trippy onscreen feature. The tour preview follows closely on the heels of an album promo clip released earlier in the week that's based on Japanese singles ads. The video includes a phone number, which when dialed plays a personal message from Tesfaye thanking his fans for their support and transforming his life "from being homeless to traveling the world" (Tesfaye will allegedly be rewarding some of those fans with a live return phone call). The Weeknd's fall tour kicked off last week (Sept. 6) in Vancouver, Canada, for a two-night stand, before heading down the West Coast for shows in Seattle, Berkeley, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles.
