One Direction Releasing Extended Cut Of 'This Is Us'
. Billboard reports that the extended cut will hit theaters this Friday (September 13), and include 20 additional minutes of footage and four songs not featured in the original documentary. The film, directed by Morgan Spurlock, follows the boy band around the world for six months and captures their steady rise to success and world domination. The film hit theaters August 30 and earned $18 million in its opening weekend. With 20 additional minutes likely coaxing fans back to the theaters, One Direction will continue to rack in the numbers. Radio.com spent some time with 1D's avid fan base and learned just what it is about the band that makes the Directioners so dedicated. "The first time I heard ["What Makes You Beautiful"] it really spoke to me," one young fan said, noting that the message she got from the song was, "Don't change yourself for others because obviously people like them will love you for who you are."
