Less than a week after thrash metal legends Slayer announced their upcoming North American headline tour, the band have already expanded the trek.

The band has added seven dates in Canada and a new show in Seattle to the previously announced seventeen dates for the tour that will feature support from Gojira and 4ARM.

The tour is still scheduled to kick off on October 22nd in Anchorage, Alaska at the Sullivan Sports Arena and will wrap up on November 30th at the Tsongas Arena in Boston, MA.

As we previously reported, Slayer's lineup for the tour includes founders Tom Araya and Kerry King along with drummer Paul Bostaph and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt, who has been filling in for the late Jeff Hanneman who died on May 2nd from alcohol related cirrhosis.

The band have vowed to carry on in the face of Hanneman's death and have began to work on new music and said in a statement that they "hope to spend some time in the studio prior to this tour."
