Paul McCartney Unplugs For New Song
. "Last month, whilst getting ready to go on stage at Regina, Paul was caught on camera performing an impromptu version of 'New'. This quickly turned into an acoustic performance when Paul was joined by the rest of his band for a run-through the song." Whether that was actually an "impromptu" performance or not (are there just hi-def cameras that follow Macca around before every show?) it's still charming as all get up in a very Ram-y kind of way. Listen to the clip above. As previously reported, McCartney worked on his sixteenth studio album, also cheekily titled New, with Mark Ronson, Paul Epworth, Ethan Johns (son of legendary producer Glyn), and Giles Martin, son of "fifth Beatle" and producer George Martin. McCartney said that he originally planned to spend time with each of them in the studio and then decide who he wanted to hire for the album. But as he said, "I got along with them all! I couldn't choose, I had so much fun with each one!" Check the song out here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
