John Fogerty Makes Surprise Appearance With Mumford and Sons
. When the band fun. were forced to cancel after their singer was ordered to rest his voice, Fogerty received a call late Friday night and made the mad dash from Los Angeles to Florida to take part. His camp provided this run down of what took place: Fogerty began with a performance--first with The Vaccines as his backing band including his son Shane--on such classics as "Suzie Q," "Down on the Corner" and "Fortunate Son." Fogerty then returned to the stage with Mumford & Sons for "Bad Moon Rising," Lodi," "Born on the Bayou," "Proud Mary" and the single "Mystic Highway" from his release Wrote A Song For Everyone. Fogerty stated: "Travel thousands of miles, get a couple hours' sleep, rehearse with two killer bands and play for 20,000 awesome fans with one of my personal favorites Mumford & Sons. Rock and ROLL, oh ya, worth the trip!"
