(Classic Rock) Jimi Hendrix's last-ever interview is to be broadcast in full for the first time on TeamRock Radio today. A special edition of The Classic Rock Magazine Show will feature the complete half-hour recording made on September 11, 1970 just a week before his death, 33 years ago today.

Presenter Nicky Horne will talk to Keith Altham, Hendrix's press agent, who conducted the interview at London's Cumberland Hotel, one of the axe icon's favourite haunts.

Altham will discuss the conversations that surrounded Hendrix's last interview, including discussions about changing agents, returning to work with mentor and manager Chas Chandler, and what really happened when he was kidnapped in New York.

During the recording, backed by the sound of wine glasses, Hendrix says: "I've got to go and see Eric Clapton and find out if he is as good as he thinks I am." He also jokes: "That Scott Walker is prettier and sadder than Engelfluff Humperdinck. I can't wait for him to fall over on stage and graze his knee so I can kiss it better." more on this story
