Serosia kick off their tour with Sevendust tonight and to celebrate we asked frontman Lucas D'Agata to tell us about the song "Superposition" from their latest album "Variables". Here is the story:

Superposition is a song that began it's life as a lyrical idea & vocal melody in my head. Since I was in single digits of age I have had a tendancy (I consider it an ability) to tune out of the physical world and connect with a different place that I can only describe as "Somewhere else". In this place, I can completely realize a song idea. From Drums, to Guitar & bass, as well as vocals, the whole idea is, for lack of a better description, "shown" to me as if I were listening to it on a record. This is my primary source of creativity when I am working on writing music and was in full swing when developing the song "Superposition".

I had been searching the depths of the "somewhere else" when I stumbled upon the line "Even though her tempting eyes solely comprised of energy swallow all the pain inside, the truth they hide is haunting me", accompanied with it was the melody that exists in the song today. I immediately pulled out the almighty voice recorder (my phone) and put the idea "on file". I was aware that this snippet of an idea had major potential but I was exhausted on slept on it for the night. The following evening we had a performance that went particularly well and on my ride home from unloading our gear, I excitedly decided to text the clip I had recorded to the other three guys with a message, "This is the future of Serosia". Almost a year later we left to record "Variables" and "Superposition" had been selected as the lead track and first single in which we shot our debut music video for.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album and grab the tour dates right here!
