Metallica To Rock Colbert Report and Appear at IMAX Theaters

(hennemusic) Metallica will make a rare TV appearance on Tuesday, September 24 when they stop by to chat and perform on Comedy Central's The Colbert Report and the band will also be making special appearances at movie theaters to introduce their new film.

The band will join host Stephen Colbert as they make the rounds to promote their new 3D film, "Through The Never", which will debut in IMAX theatres across North America for a one-week engagement starting Friday, September 27 before expanding into additional theatres on October 4.

Metallica members James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo will be spreading out across select IMAX theatres in the U.S. to introduce the band's new 3D film, "Through The Never", during its September 26-28 opening weekend.

Hetfield will host two screenings in San Francisco; Ulrich will appear in Los Angeles and Riverside, CA; Hammett will show up in Milwaukee, Chicago, Houston and Dallas, while Trujillo will stop in New Brunswick, NJ, Philadelphia, Washington and Boston a full schedule is listed here.
