.
As we reported yesterday, Primus has reunited with Tim "Herb" Alexander, who is returning to the band following the exit of Jay Lane. Today we have details about what the new lineup have planned including a new album and a special live appearance.

The band, featuring the early 90s era line up of Alexander, Les Claypool and Larry "Ler" LaLonde, announced that they will be hitting the studio in November to begin work on a new studio album.

Fans will be able to witness the live return of Alexander when the band take the stage to play a special New Years Eve show at the Fox Theater in Oakland.

Meanwhile, Claypool will also be keeping busy this fall and hitting the road with Duo De Twang. He announced that he has finished work on the group's new album which is expected to be released early next year.
