(hennemusic) Soundgarden are marking the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album, "Superunknown", with an expanded reissue and an appearance on DIRECTV's Guitar Center Sessions, where a new video from the series features band members talking about recording the original project.

Propelled by the singles "Spoonman", "Black Hole Sun", "Fell On Black Days", "My Wave" and "The Day I Tried To Live", "Superunknown" debuted at No. 1 in the US and went on to sell more than 9 million copies worldwide, including 5 million in the States alone.

On June 3, Soundgarden will release a 20th anniversary edition of "Superunknown" in two versions: a 2-CD Deluxe Edition and a 5-CD Super Deluxe Edition.

The Seattle rockers filmed an episode of Guitar Center Sessions in Austin, Texas recently during SXSW; the show will appear during the series' upcoming eighth season, which debuts in May. Watch the video here.
