(Radio.com) Florida Georgia Line are still riding high after their two wins at this past Sunday's 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards for vocal duo of the year and single record of the year for "Cruise." During an interview Friday (April 4), at the ACM Party for a Cause concert benefiting Outnumber Hunger, the duo opened up on how much their lives have changed since last year's win of new artist of the year.

"It was a big turning point in our career," Tyler Hubbard told Radio.com. "New artist of the year, it felt like it was a boost of momentum. Everything kicked into high gear. Ever since then it's been game on. We've been working hard and getting to be on some amazing tours with Luke [Bryan] and Jason [Aldean]. Basically, just keep riding the wave and hold on tight. Buckle up. That's kind of been our thing this last year. To be here again this year is a huge honor and we're happy to be a part of it."

The guys told us that they've been in the studio working on the followup to their ACM-nominated album Here's to the Good Times. "We're in the studio working hard," Brian Kelley said. "We've already got five to six songs tracked and rockin'. Joey Moi, our producer, is chompin' at the bit. He's as excited as we are. I feel like everybody has gotten better. It's a new season, it's time for recording. more on this story
