Insane Clown Posse JuggaloCoin Cryptocurrency Launched

( First there was Dogecoin, and then Coinye (R.I.P.). Now? JuggaloCoin. According to Noisey, Insane Clown Posse's fans now have their own cryptocurrency. Billing itself as "the most insane coin in crypto history" on its website (because really, what else could it be?), JuggaloCoin is scheduled for official release on the market today, April 10.

"You probably see it every day," the website reads. "Coins with no purpose. A couple of weeks ago someone attempted to launch something called "CableCoin" - a coin for buying computer cables. Why in the hell would anyone go to the hassle of obtaining a coin with the sole purpose of purchasing computer cables? It makes no sense. There is no benefit for the consumer."

So, why JuggaloCoin? Apparently, the coin will directly benefit Juggalos themselves; with JuggaloCoin, they'll be able to keep funds "in the family" and create a streamlined way to contribute to the Juggalo cause, including charities and others "down with the clown." The currency will be available for use at this year's Gathering of the Juggalos and, if all goes according to plan, it'll be accepted by major retailers in the coming years.

Of course, this isn't the first venture into Juggalo-branded minutiae. In addition to their festival, there's the Psychopathic Records label, a radio station, a wrestling league and much more within the fans' lifestyle. more on this story is an official news provider for
