(Radio.com) A Phoenix-based band that gave a bedside concert to one of the victims of the South By Southwest car crash during which an intoxicated driver drove into a crowd of people at the festival is being paid back for their kindness.

On Thursday (April 17), former Bee Gees frontman Barry Gibb announced that Jared and the Mill will be the opening act on his upcoming U.S. tour, Mashable reports.

The six-piece will accompany Gibb over six dates of his Mythology the Tour Live, starting next month. According to the disco bigwig, the band is "fantastic," and he believes they will "add the perfect element to the whole show."

Jared and the Mill pegs itself as an indie folk-rock act. The group came to slight prominence when playing a mini concert for 18-year-old Mason Endres, who was one of the SXSW attendees struck by the car driven by Rashad Owens March 13 that has killed four people, by her hospital bed. Endres suffered a broken leg and nose, as well as a fractured neck. more on this story
