Lee Brice Releases 'I Don't Dance' Video (Recap)

.
On Thursday Lee Brice Releases 'I Don't Dance' Video was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) When Lee Brice sat down to hash out an idea for a song he had called "I Don't Dance," he wasn't expecting it would wind up on his next album - let alone be the album's lead single. But as he told Radio.com during a recent conversation, something "magic" happened during that session that took "I Don't Dance" from being "a song I was writing for my wife" (or, rather, wife-to-be - Brice and his fiancee Sarah Reevely were not yet married at the time) to a single that can speak to anyone and everyone.

"I Don't Dance" is a love song from a man's point of view, where the protagonist says that he's not much of a dancer, but for the woman he loves, he'll go ahead and dance anyway. "I don't dance, but here I am," Brice sings, "spinning you round and round in circles."

Now Brice has released the video for the song, which blends footage of him performing (alone at the Ryman Auditorium) with scenes from his own wedding, which took place last spring. It's a simple yet moving video that, like the song itself, is rooted in something deeply personal while also containing universal themes and emotions that touch just about anyone.

Brice wrote the song with "a couple of buddies," Rob Hatch and Dallas Davidson. As he explained to Radio.com, they started messing around with a title he had called "I Don't Dance." "In my mind it was a song for Sarah, before we got married," Brice told Radio.com. "It was kind of about our first dance."

But then, during that writing session, the song took on a new life of its own. "Immediately when we finished writing it, I realized it wasn't just a song I was writing for my wife," Brice continued. "Maybe because it was coming from that place," but whatever the cause "it turned out so special."
