Randy Houser Scores Third No. 1 Single With 'Goodnight Kiss' (Recap)
. Written by Houser and his friends Rob Hatch and Jason Sellers, the song is the third single from Houser's 2013 album How Country Feels, and the third in a row to reach No. 1. "'Goodnight Kiss' was a song I wrote with some friends of mine, Rob Hatch and Jason Sellers, two of my great buddies," Houser told Radio.com. The writing session for the song happened somewhat last minute. "We [got] together the day before I actually went to record for the last time for How Country Feels. And we were just hanging out, and I decided I wanted to write something." It was a challenge in a way, he said, to see if they could "beat something we already have." Houser said he started playing around with the idea of a goodnight kiss, and the stress it can cause during a date. "I [was] thinking about how many times when I was a kid did I want to start the night with a goodnight kiss. Because it's a big deal - it's the scary moment when you figure out if you're going to get shunned [or not]." - more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
