(Radio.com) Phoenix's Musical Instrument Museum will host an auction of Waylon Jennings memorabilia this October, which was put together by his widow, Jessi Colter.

The auction is set to feature over 2,000 items, including an Ariel Cyclone motorcycle originally owned by the great Buddy Holly and gifted by him to Jennings, who was Holly's bass player on his final tour.

Oh, and then there's Willie Nelson's braids, which he cut off in 1983 to support Jennings' road to sobriety. Yes, you can own Willie Nelson's hair. Also in the auction: the original signed contract for the establishment of the Highwaymen, a handwritten letter to Jennings from John Lennon and a custom pair of Nudie cowboy boots emblazoned with a white "H" for original owner Hank Williams. more on this story
