The Scorpions Plan New Album and Tour For 50th Anniversary
. On January 24, 2010, after 45 years of performing, The Scorpions announced that they would be retiring after touring in support of their new album at the time, "Sting In The Tail," although this decision was eventually retracted and the band will continue. As for the new record, singer Klaus Meine revealed in a 2013 interview that it feature leftovers from the early 1980s. "We started that over a year ago," Meine confirmed at the time. "It will be material that was never finished; songs with pure Scorpions DNA from a very exciting time. Once we close the book on the crazy touring schedule that's something we'll pick up again." more on this story hennemusic is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
