Taylor Swift Makes Shake It Off Live Debut at MTV VMAs
. Flanked by a swarm of suit-clad male backup dancers, Swift, wearing a short, sequined two-piece, jumped around the stage for the fourth performance of the evening (second full song, following "Bang Bang"). She was lifted into the air by her dancers before shooting over to a different part of the set to be joined by some female backup singers, some of which carried large saxophones to blare the song's horn-infused chorus. Perhaps the best moment? Swift found her way to an overhang above where the rest of the dancers were twirling and leaping, and they beckoned her to leap off said overhang into their arms. Big surprise, she got cold feet. "I don't care if it's the VMAs, I'm not jumping," she said, huffing and puffing as she ran back down the stairs to pick up the peppy tune where it left off, an emblazoned '1980' behind her.
