Chris Young Reveals Inspiration For New Single Lonely Eyes
. "I've spent my fair share of time at Losers (Bar & Grill) in Nashville," Young admitted in a press release. "As a songwriter I like to always be observing the world around me because you never know where you'll find inspiration, and I've seen moments like what I sing about in 'Lonely Eyes' go down all the time." "Lonely Eyes" is set during a typical night at a local tavern. At the start, the bartender yells at a patron for lighting up a "cheap cigar" inside. Then the entire establishment crushes on a girl who walks in for a glass of wine. While the subject matter and the setting did grab his attention, Young admitted that wasn't the only reason he chose to cut the song. Read what he said here.
