Yesterday (August 26), the writer and the subject of that 1992 song have decided to call it quits, with Neil and Pegi Young deciding to divorce after 36 years of marriage. According to Rolling Stone, Young filed for divorce on Tuesday in their city of residence, San Mateo, California.

Pegi Young has been more than just Neil Young's wife over the years. She served as Young's background singer beginning in the '90s and co-founded the Bridge School in 1986, inspired when their son, Ben, had trouble finding a school after being born with cerebral palsy.
