On Wednesday Robert Plant May End Career With New Album was a top story. Here is the recap: Legendary Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has hinted in a new interview that his upcoming solo album, 'lullaby … And the Ceaseless Roar' maybe be his final release and mark the end of his career.
Plant surprised The Independent's James McNair when he made the following proclamation at the end of their conversation, "And maybe this new album is the end now for me."
McNair followed up and asked "Really? The end of what?" and Plant responded, "Of this musical wanderlust and the wonderful carousel that I've been on.
"It's like a kaleidoscope: you hold it up to the light, rotate it, and the pieces fall beautifully in different ways, but this record feels different. It's a consummation of all those bits from Son House to Roni Size to the Gambia and it seems to have some sort of finality."
The new album is set to be released on September 9th and Plant has lined up a handful of dates to support the trek including a show in London and four North American dates.
