On Wednesday Tim McGraw Delivers New Single 'Shotgun Rider' was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) "Meanwhile Back at Mama's," Tim McGraw's cozy, sweet-minded duet with his wife Faith Hill, may still be resonating in the ears of country fans, but that's not stopping McGraw from keeping his gaze on the road ahead. Yesterday (Aug. 26) he released a brand-new single to radio, "Shotgun Rider."
"Shotgun Rider" is a midtempo song with a cool, confident melody that feels tailor-made for a road-trip mixtape. It's the latest song from the country superstar's upcoming studio album Sundown Heaven Town, which is due to hit stores Sept. 16.
"This is one of those songs that really paints a picture and sets a mood," McGraw said in a press statement. "In my mind, you look over and see the person that you love next to you sitting in the front seat, and you think, 'How good do I have it? Life is perfect.' There is a certain warmth to this song and several others like it that really establish the tone for the whole album."
McGraw previously recorded a song called "Shotgun Rider" on his 2007 album Let It Go (in another duet with Faith Hill), but the current single is a brand-new song. More details - here.
