Phillip Phillips Launching North American Headline Tour (Recap)

. On Friday Phillip Phillips Launching North American Headline Tour was a top story. Here is the recap: American Idol star Phillip Phillips has announced that he will be launching a North American headline tour next month with a very special kick off appearance at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

The West Point show will take place on September 12th and will be followed by stops in many major markets including Dallas, Nashville, New Orleans, Boston, Washington D.C., Cleveland, Kansas City, Atlantic City, Durham, Houston, Orlando and the tour will conclude on December 7th in Phoenix.

Phillips is wrapping up his summer tour season this week with appearances in Waco, TX tonight, Saturday at the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival and Sunday at the New York State Fair.

Phillip is continuing to tour in support his sophomore studio album, "Behind The Light," which was released by Interscope Records back in May of this year. - See the tour dates here.
