Ion Dissonance Return From Hiatus With New Song, Lives Shows
. The group also revealed that they have recruited The Last Felony guitarist Dominic Grimard into the band to handle bass duties for Yannick Desgroseillers, who is having health issues that prevent him from playing full time with the band. The band first teased their return back in October. They wrote on Facebook, "Who wants to hear new Ion Dissonance? We have been hinting at the possibility of a new record being released for roughly 3 years now, and in honor of our loyal and dedicated fans who showed us tremendous love and support while we were taking some time off, we have decided to premiere a new song this upcoming November. Stay tuned for further details." Then last month the band surprised fans with the announcement of their live return for two shows in Toronto (December 14th at the Opera House" and Montreal (December 13th at Club Soda with Despised Icon). Now the band has released the first demo since their return for a track that will be part of their forthcoming release. Fans can stream the new demo "Ill Will" here and they can purchase it here. Here is what they band had to say, "The wait is finally over We would like to thank you all for your patience and support. Nevertheless, here is Ion Dissonance's way of saying thank you. "We would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Dominic Grimard from 'The Last Felony' into the Ion Dissonance family. For those who know us well, you know that we have a nasty habit of recycling up guitarists to play bass for us. Dominic is no exception to this rule. The guy shreds, and we are happy to have him helping us out with Bass duties. For those of you wondering, Yanic is still involved with the band and helping with the recording process. Unfortunate health issues have forced him to step aside for now. We wish him all the best and a prompt recovery. "So without further delay, here is the first installment of our upcoming release. If you want to purchase the song, we have included the bandcamp link within the Youtube video. "The Montreal and Toronto shows are on for this upcoming weekend. See you all there."
