(The Blues) Bernie Torme admits the success of his crowdfunding campaign gave him a sense of terror at first. He asked fans to support the production of solo album Flowers And Dirt, his first studio project in 15 years.

Torme tells Sleazegrinder: "It became a double album, and I was thinking, 'Well - this is terrifying!' Because I really didn't expect to get the money at all.

"It was, 'You have to complete it.' That was great because it was just like the old days: it had to be finished. I found that really helpful because it was almost like having a gun being held to my head." Read more here.
